DOGPILE 95 MISSION STATEMENT

Dogpile 95, a new doctrine of digital filmmaking founded by auteur film director, Lloyd Kaufman, was first announced at the Cannes Film Festival in May, 2002 as a doctrine in the spirit of Lars Von Trier’s Dogme 95.  Kaufman says, “Long before Dogme 95 was born, Troma was making movies with poor lighting, amateur acting and crappy sound.  However, we just haven’t been able to rise to the level of boredom that the Dogme 95 films have attained.  This is one of the reasons that Dogpile 95 has been founded.”  The Dogpile 95 Certification Committee is gratified to learn that there are filmmakers who are now producing creative, entertaining and profound digital movies.  Those filmmakers whose films conform to the requirements of the Dogpile 95 Doctrine are eligible to receive a Dogpile 95 Certificate of Authenticity.  They may send a VHS or DVD copy of their film to PO Box 486, Radio City Station, New York, NY  10019.  There is no certification fee.
